Today (4/1) is my spiritual birthday. I was baptized by Marlon McWilliams on this date in 1984. It was the culmination of a year-long friendship with one of the strongest Christians I’ve ever known–Gary Cox. I’m grateful today for his friendship and that of the tiny church in Cloudcroft, NM, including Marlon McWilliams, Leah Warren, Don and Judy Warren, and Wilma and Wesley Lane.
Tomorrow (4/2) is another anniversary. On this date a few years ago I experienced the lowest low I’ve ever experienced in ministry. There are still moments when I feel the wounds from that day.
I’m thankful, however, that through highs and lows, God is constant. A Rock. A Refuge.
